Luna Masterson sees demons. She has been dealing with the demonic all her life, so when her brother gets tangled up with a demon named Sparkles, ‘Luna the Lunatic’ rolls in on her motorcycle to save the day.

Armed with the ability to harm demons, her scathing sarcasm, and a hefty chip on her shoulder, Luna gathers the most unusual of allies, teaming up with a green-eyed heroin addict and a snarky demon ‘of some import.’

After all, outcasts of a feather should stick together...even until the end.

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Vivacious Valkyrie - Marta:

I adore paranormal, but recently have been reading other genres in the hopes of finding something different and fresh, so imagine my surprise when I started reading this book, it's completely unique! Now it's not often that I think that, so hats off to this Ms Yardley.

Luna is like no one else. She's different because she sees Demons! She doesn't remember a time when they weren't whispering in the darkness or hiding in the shadows, and now not a day goes by without feeling their presence . Life has been hard, and Luna's father died because he shared her gift/curse. So far, Luna's survived. Things start to fall apart when her own sister-in-law is possessed by a Demon, but when she takes away Luna's niece Lydia, it's time to come out fighting because no demon is hurting her family anymore! Her brother Seth can't cope, and it's up to Luna to release Hell on Earth!

This is a book that doesn't shy away from the dark and disturbing choices that we, as humans, make. Life is precious, and yet sometimes we seem to accept our own mortality far too easily. Suicide is not an easy subject to write about, but the author writes about it with sensitivity as it's a pivotal moment for so much that happens in this story.

Luna is a complicated character, she's an angry woman and yet full of joy and love for her family. She's brave and yet frightened to trust and allow anyone really close. Luna's life has truly been filled with horror but she dares anyone to try and knock her down. Even when she falls in love with Reed Taylor she manages to push him away, never letting him really close but keeping her barriers up. As I've mentioned characters, it wouldn't be fair not to say that although this isn't a romance there is a complicated triangle of sorts that will blow your mind!

If you enjoy urban fantasy then this fast paced book will be right up your alley. A snarky heroine whose flaws just add to the story. Bad guys who are truly evil in the fullest sense of the word, and emotion to tug on your heart strings. Happily, even though there is a resolution of sorts at the end, there's no real cliffhanger. But, and it's a big but, the author has opened up a whole new can of worms which will lead nicely to the next book.
